Suzdal welcomes guests from all over the country. This year, the ancient city received the title of New Year’s capital. A Christmas market has taken place in the center of Suzdal. An ice rink has appeared on the ancient paving stones. Ice shows in the evening. Admission to them is free.
You can go sledding and tubing to your heart’s content in Suzdal. To make it fun for both thrill-seekers and very young guests, slides of different levels were built in the city. And here you just need to take a walk — look at the white-stone churches and painted wooden houses. It is not without reason that Suzdal is called a museum city. This year it is celebrating its millennium. In pursuit of the New Year’s mood, you can go to Karelia. A steam-powered train departs from Sartovala to the snow-covered Ruskeala Mountain Park every day. It is stylized as the Nikolaev Express of the late 19th century. On the platform, passengers are greeted by guides dressed in tsarist costumes. The train is also decorated in a retro style inside. It takes just over an hour to get to the mountain park. A ticket in a compartment costs 1,500 rubles.
You can spend this hour in the dining car. Tickets are also sold here. Tea and pastries are included in the price.
Another unique show is not to be missed at Ruskeala station. The locomotive enters the turning circle. It turns 180 degrees and starts back. And tourists go on a trip to a mountain park where marble used to be mined. It was used to decorate St. Isaac’s and Kazan cathedrals. You can feed, pet and play with animals in the Ivanovo region. On the outskirts of Kineshma, there is a park called “Good”. More than 200 animals live here.
“Many people haven’t seen camels or reindeer live so much that you can talk like that. And sometimes you ask: How did you like the park or the tour? And it’s not clear who liked it better for adults or children,” said Irina Morozova, manager of the Good Manor Park at Noskovo. The entrance ticket costs 450 rubles. Children under three years old are free of charge.
Moscow at a glance. You can see everything at once from Europe’s largest Ferris wheel. The “Moscow Sun” cabins rise to 140 meters. A full circle on the Ferris wheel lasts 18 minutes and 40 seconds. But entertainment at Sun of Moscow is not limited to this time. The ticket price includes a New Year’s program, but this is already on Earth. At Santa Claus’s residence, which appeared at the Ferris wheel, all children are given gifts. Here you can also whisper your cherished wish into your grandfather’s ear, and it will come true.
