As part of the Russia International Exhibition and Forum, a festival program dedicated to the cuisines of the peoples of our country will open at VDNH. Guests will meet chefs, restaurateurs and experts.
The “House of Russian Cuisine” space was opened at VDNH especially for the exhibition. Visitors to the new food hall can get acquainted with authentic gastronomic masterpieces from the regions, from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Kaliningrad. This is where the main festival events will take place.
On January 7, the Christmas Table festival of festive Russian cuisine will open the culinary program. Guests will be offered to taste traditional dishes and will be told about the peculiarities of their preparation. After the New Year holidays, tourists and Muscovites will enjoy the “Arctic Days”, “Maslenitsa 2024”, “Pie Feast”, “Five Seas, Three Oceans”, “Wedding Tables for the Peoples of Russia” and other thematic events.
In January, chefs from different regions will hold workshops and tastings. Traditional dishes from the Donetsk People’s Republic will be presented on January 5, Sevastopol on January 8, Ivanovo and Kostroma regions on January 10, Belgorod on January 11, Kaluga, Bryansk and Ryazan on January 12, and Voronezh and Lipetsk on January 13. Yaroslavl and Vladimir Regions will end the Regional Days on January 14. Visitors will be able to try local dishes from a special menu. Each meal combines historical identity with a modern interpretation of traditional cuisine.
Gastronomic festivals make a great contribution to preserving cultural diversity and developing Russian cuisine. Each region has a special culinary tradition with a rich history and its own flavor. At the House of Russian Cuisine, you can “taste” every corner of our country and get acquainted with unique and unique combinations.
